Sernancelhe, almost nine centuries of history place it between the lands oldest in the country.

Blessed by nature, it is land of history, patrimony and tradition. It is know as the Terra da Castanha (chestnut land), of the writer Aquilino Ribeiro, and the Lapa Sanctuary.

It is located in the center-north region of Portugal, right between Beira and Douro, in Viseu and integrates the International Community of Douro.
